OFF98: Error Installing Microsoft Office 98 Updater (194587)

WORKAROUND

1. Move the following files to the Trash:
   

      File Name               Folder Location
      --------------------------------------------------
   
      Microsoft Office 98     Microsoft Office 98:Office
      Microsoft PowerPoint    Microsoft Office 98
      Microsoft Word          Microsoft Office 98
   						

2. On the Special menu, click Empty Trash.
3. Insert the Microsoft Office 98 compact disc into your CD-ROM drive.
4. Open the Microsoft Office 98 Folder on the Microsoft Office 98 compact disc.
5. Copy the following files to the Microsoft Office 98 folder on your hard disk:
   

         Microsoft PowerPoint
         Microsoft Word
   						

6. Open the Microsoft Office 98:Office Folder on the Microsoft Office 98 CD.
7. Copy the following file to the Microsoft Office 98 folder on your hard disk:
   

         Microsoft Office 98
   						

8. Install the Microsoft Office 98 Updater.
9. Install the Office 98 Update for Mac OS 8.5.
