FP98: Video Controls Do Not Appear in the Browser (194417)

SYMPTOMS
When you browse a page that contains an embedded video in Microsoft
Internet Explorer 2.0 or later, the video control may not appear.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the option to display the video control is not set
up in the HTML tag.
RESOLUTION
To show the video controls in Internet Explorer version 3.x or earlier, follow these steps:
- In FrontPage Editor, open the page on which you inserted the video.
- Right-click the image, and then click Image Properties on the menu that appears.
- In the Image Properties dialog box, click the Video tab, and then click to select Show Controls In Browser.
- Click OK.
- Save the page.
To show the video controls in Internet Explorer version 4.x or later, follow these steps:
- In FrontPage Editor, open the page on which you inserted the video.
- On the Insert menu, point to Advanced and then click Plug-in.
- In the Plug-In Properties dialog box, press browse, select the video file.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again.
- Save the page.
- Click the Preview button on the Standard toolbar.
