New Window From Here Option in MMC May Cause Fatal Error (194393)

In the Internet Information Server 4.0 Microsoft Management Console (MMC),
if you select the New Windows From Here option for a virtual directory and
then minimize the window or delete the virtual directory, the MMC may stop
responding.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the

WORKAROUND
Use the CTRL+ALT+Delete key combination to start Task Manager. On the
Applications tab, select the Microsoft Management Console application, and
then click End Task.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Information
Server version 4.0.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
