This article was previously published under Q194349 SYMPTOMS
When you drag an object with an associated travel path to a new location
in your e-mail project, the object may appear in its original location when
you preview or send the e-mail project.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you change the position of the object, but you
do not change the travel path associated with the object.
When a Travel Effect is associated with an object, both the start and end
positions are set for the travel path. When you preview or send the e-mail
project, the object starts at the Start position and stops at the End
position set for the travel path. When you move the object, the travel
path is not changed. When you preview or send the project, the object
moves to the Start position and travels to the End position regardless
of the object's location in your project.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, move the associated travel path when you move an
object. To do this, follow these steps:
- In your e-mail project, click the object that has an associated travel
path.
- In the Options box, click Change Effects And Sounds.
- Click Travel Effects, and then click Change Path.
- To modify the existing path, move the Start and End positions
to the locations you want, and then click OK.
If you want to create a new travel path, click "Start over with a new
path" in the Main Options box. Click the type of path you want, or click
Draw My Own Path. Follow the instructions on the screen to change the
path, and then click OK.
- Under Path Options, click the settings you want in the Set Travel Speed,
At End Of Path, and When To Travel boxes, and then click OK.
