TN3270 Access Violation Occurs When 15,000 Sessions Configured (194316)

SYMPTOMS

The TN3270 Server service fails abnormally with an access violation when there are 15,000 client connections.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in all versions and service packs of SNA Server that are listed in the Applies To section of this article. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S. service pack. For information on obtaining this Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
