FP98: FrontPage Editor Adds Space to Empty Table Cell (194235)

SYMPTOMS
FrontPage Editor places a null character ( ) in all empty table
cells. If you remove this character from the HTML source code, FrontPage
will replace it. For example, FrontPage will convert this HTML code:
<td></td>
to this:
<td> </td>
CAUSE
FrontPage Editor inserts the null character to make the table cell
outline visible.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
