BUG: Toolbar ActiveX Control Is Not Supported (194025)

SYMPTOMS

The Toolbar ActiveX control that ships with Visual InterDev 6.0 does not work. When you set properties in the Property pages, the changes do not save when reopening the page in Visual InterDev. You are not able to programmatically control the Toolbar through script.

RESOLUTION

There is no workaround.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Add a .htm or .asp page to a Web project.
  2. Add a Toolbar ActiveX control to the page.
  3. View the properties of the Toolbar, and click on the Buttons tab.
  4. Insert a few buttons by clicking Insert Button.
  5. Close the Properties page.
  6. View the page in your browser.
NOTE: The buttons you added do not show.
