Error Message: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (193900)

SYMPTOMS

When you minimize a window, you may receive the following error message on a blue screen, and your Windows NT-based computer may stop responding (hang):
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Address fef65475 has base at fef62000 - CPQDISP.DLL

CAUSE

This behavior can occur on your Windows NT 4.0-based computer with Service Pack 3 when you restart your computer after you share a program in NetMeeting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove and then reinstall NetMeeting. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft NetMeeting and then click Add/Remove.
  3. Click Yes.
  4. Reinstall NetMeeting.
