When you try to install an additional network adapter using the Network
tool in Control Panel, you may receive the following error message:
Your System Allows Only 6 Instance(s) of TCP/IP
CAUSE
This error message can occur if you already have six (or more) network
adapters installed, and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) is bound to six of the existing network adapters. Windows 98 can
bind TCP/IP to only six network adapters at one time.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
