Long Phone Messages Do Not Play Back Completely (193671)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Cordless Phone System 1.0

This article was previously published under Q193671

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Cordless Phone System to record and play back phone messages, you may experience the following behaviors:

  • Long phone messages are one to two seconds longer than the maximum length configured in Call Manager.
  • Phone messages that are the maximum length configured in Call Manager are truncated one second or more.

CAUSE

These behaviors can occur because the Cordless Phone System appends buffers necessary to complete the recording of recorded phone messages. These buffers can add from three to six seconds to the length of the recorded phone message and can cause part of the recorded phone message to be lost.
