OLEXP: Paper Clip Icon Unavailable with Text Attachment (193288)

SYMPTOMS

If you receive an e-mail message with an attached text file, the paper clip icon in the upper-right corner of the message may be unavailable, and you either may be unable to see the file attachment in the message, or the attachment text may be embedded in the body of the message.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the e-mail message is sent from someone who uses America Online.

RESOLUTION

If the attachment text is embedded in the body of the message, you can work around this behavior by cutting and pasting the text into a new text file.
