Unable to Connect to Catalog Server via Search MMC (192690)

The following error may occur when you connect to a Site Server 3.0
Catalog build server using an IP address or fully qualified domain name
(FQDN) for a host name in the Microsoft Management Console (MMC):
Successfully connected to the search server on <ip address>.
Unable to connect to the catalog build server. The requested operation
in not supported.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the

WORKAROUND
Do not use any IP addresses or FQDNs in the Search MMC for host names. Use
only the NetBIOS computer name, which can be obtained by typing the
following command at the command prompt:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
