When you upgrade a Compaq Presario computer to Windows 98, the PC Card
(PCMCIA) slot may stop responding (hang).
RESOLUTION
You must upgrade the Compaq Presario's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS)
before you upgrade to Windows 98. Please contact Compaq for a Softpaq
update, or download Softpaq file SP5138 from the following Compaq Web
site:
If you have already installed Windows 98, install the BIOS update and then
run Windows 98 Setup again.
