PPT98: Cannot Use Action Settings w/ Horizontal, Vertical Lines (192375)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q192375 MORE INFORMATION
You can apply action settings, such as hyperlinks, running programs and
macros, and switching between slides by using the Action Settings
command on the Tools menu. Action settings are defined by hot spots. To
trigger a hot spot, you must move the mouse over the area or click it.
Because horizontal and vertical lines have only one dimension and no
area, they do not have an area large enough to accommodate a hot spot.
SYMPTOMS
You cannot apply action settings to horizontal and vertical lines in
PowerPoint.
CAUSE
Horizontal and vertical lines in PowerPoint have only one dimension and
no area. You cannot apply action settings to lines unless their
coordinates define an area greater than zero. Changing the line weight
has no affect.
