SYMPTOMS

When you import Nicknames from a Eudora address book into the Windows Address Book, Nicknames that include an e-mail address with other information (such as addresses and telephone numbers) are imported as groups rather than individual entries.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, re-create the affected entries as new contacts in the Windows Address Book. The e-mail address is retained in the converted group entry.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Outlook Express 4.0 and 4.01
