This article was previously published under Q192074 SYMPTOMS
When you click the More Buttons button on the toolbar, and you click Add or Remove Buttons, buttons that you have added to the toolbar through Customize cannot be turned on or off by using the menu. The custom buttons are unavailable (appear grayed).
Only buttons that are included by default on the toolbar can be turned on and off by using the menu.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, manually add or remove custom toolbar buttons.
To add buttons to the toolbar, follow these steps: - On the More Commands button, click Add or Remove Buttons, and then
click Customize.
- Click the Commands tab. Under Categories, select the category
from which you want to add a button.
- The available built-in buttons for the selected category will
be displayed to the right of the list, under Commands.
- Click the button you want, and then drag it to the location you want
on a toolbar.
To remove buttons from the toolbar, follow these steps:
- On the More Commands button, click Add or Remove Buttons, and then
click Customize.
- Click the button you want that is currently on the toolbar and
drag the button off the toolbar.
Note You can also choose Reset Toolbar to set the toolbar back to the Standard default toolbar.
