This article was previously published under Q191863 SYMPTOMS When you press the Microsoft IntelliMouse wheel button
while you are using Altera MaxPlus 8.1, the pointer (a single arrow or multiple
arrows that point in the directions you are able to pan) and a menu appear on
the screen.
Although you can use the IntelliMouse to scroll or pan
through the window, the menu remains in a fixed position.CAUSE This behavior can occur because the Universal Scrolling
feature is not compatible with Altera MaxPlus 8.1. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, add Altera MaxPlus 8.1 to the
Exceptions For Universal Scrolling list. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to
Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Mouse, and then click the
Wheel tab.
- In the Universal Scrolling area, click
Exceptions.
- Click Add, and then locate the executable
file for Altera MaxPlus 8.1.
- Click this executable file, and then click
Open.
- Click Close, and then click
OK.
- Quit Control Panel.
