Plus! 98: Disk Cleanup Utility Does Not Delete All Files (191853)

When you run the Disk Cleanup utility included in Plus! 98, and you
choose to delete Temporary Internet Files or Downloaded Program Files,
some of these files may not be deleted.
CAUSE
The Disk Cleanup utility deletes only those files that it determines
are safe to be deleted. Disk Cleanup does not delete ActiveX controls,
Java applets, or cookies.
RESOLUTION
To delete files left on your hard disk by Disk Cleanup, follow these
steps:
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Plus! 98,
and then click Disk Cleanup.
- Click the hard disk containing the files you want to delete,
and then click OK.
- In the Files To Delete box, click the folder containing the files
you want to delete, and then click View Files.
- Right-click the file you want to delete, and then click Delete.
If you want to delete multiple files, press and hold down the CTRL
key, click each file you want to delete, right-click one of the files
you selected, and then click Delete.
- If you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
- Close the folder window.
- Repeat steps 3-6 for each folder containing files you want to delete.
