SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, the computer may seem to stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior can occur while the IntelliPoint update program searches the computer for earlier versions of the IntelliPoint software. On some computers, this process can take several minutes.

RESOLUTION

Wait until the IntelliPoint update program finishes searching for earlier versions of the IntelliPoint software. When the program is finished searching, the computer responds normally.
