"No Preview Available" Error Inserting .Fpx or .Mix Files (191459)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to add an .fpx or .mix picture to a project, you may receive the following error message:
No preview available, either the selected file is corrupt or the graphic filter installation is damaged.

CAUSE

This error message occurs if the Fpx32.flt filter file is damaged or missing.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this error message, install any of the following programs. Each of these programs installs the graphic filter needed to use .fpx and .mix files.

  • Microsoft Picture It! Express (Included with Home Publishing and Greetings).
  • Microsoft Picture It! 1.0 or later.
