PRJ98: Crash When Opening Project Edited in Database (191401)

When you open a project that was edited in a database, Microsoft Project 98
may stop responding, and you may receive one of the following error
messages.
Windows 95/98
This program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
When you click Details, you receive the following error message:
WINPROJ caused an invalid page fault in module WINPROJ.EXE at <address>.
Windows NT
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated.
WINPROJ.exe
Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: <address>.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when you edit a project in a database and change the
FromDate field in the Resource_Rates table to be outside of the valid date
range for Microsoft Project of January 1, 1984 through December 31, 2049.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, edit your project in a database and change the
FromDate field in the Resource_Rates table to contain a date within the valid date range for Microsoft Project of January 1, 1984 through December 31, 2049.
