BUG: Cancel Execution Might Be Unresponsive (191048)

SYMPTOMS

When you are canceling long running SQL scripts or procedural objects, Visual InterDev 6.0 might be unresponsive and appear to hang. When you are canceling a long running script, it might take several minutes or longer.

RESOLUTION

Execute scripts and long running procedural objects in an external tool or in a separate instance of Visual InterDev.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
