SYMPTOMS
When you start Internet Explorer or another Winsock-based program, Dial-Up
Networking may not be automatically started.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Autodial settings in the registry are
missing or damaged, or have been replaced by third-party values.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
