This article describes how to connect more than one Handheld PC (H/PC) or Palm-size PC (P/PC) to the same desktop computer.

To connect two H/PC's or P/PC's to the same desktop computer, follow these steps:
  1. Connect a serial cable between a communications (COM) port on the desktop computer and each H/PC or P/PC.
  2. On the desktop computer, right-click the Windows CE Services icon on the taskbar, and then click Communications.
  3. In the Port box, note which COM port Windows CE Services is using, and then click OK.
  4. Right-click the Windows CE Services icon on the taskbar, and then click Open Mobile Devices.
  5. On the Tools menu, click Synchronize Now.
  6. On the H/PC or P/PC that you synchronized, double-tap the Windows CE Services icon on the taskbar, and then tap Disconnect.
  7. On the desktop computer, right-click the Windows CE Services icon on the taskbar, and then click Communications.
  8. In the Port box, click to change the COM port Windows CE Services is using, and then click OK.
  9. Right-click the Windows CE Services icon on the taskbar, and then click Open Mobile Devices.
  10. On the Tools menu, click Synchronize Now.
