PRJ98: Total in Peak Field Greater than Timephased Peak Units (190578)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1)
This article was previously published under Q190578 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98 Service Release 1 (SR-1), time-phased Peak Units in
the Task Usage or Resource Usage view may not equal the value in the Peak
field for the assignment.
For example, in the Resource Usage view, if the Peak field for the assignment in the table displays a number greater than 10,000 units (1,000,000 percent), the time-phased Peak Units for the same assignment may
display only 10,000 units. In Task Usage view, time-phased Peak Units will
show the same discrepancy.
NOTE: The limit in Microsoft Project 98 for a resource assigned to one task is 10,000 units (1,000,000 percent).
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you assign more than 10,000 units (1,000,000
percent) of a resource to a single task by typing the resource assignment
directly in the Resource Name field in a task table.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
