PRJ98: Error Message When Save To Secure Access Database (190577)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q190577 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, when you save a project in the Access database
format, you may receive the following error:
You don't have the necessary permissions to use the '<Object>' object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you.
<Object> is the name of a file, table, or any object in an Access database. For example 'Project_Information' object, or 'C:\My Documents\DB1.MDB' object.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you save a project to a secure Access (Microsoft
Jet) database. Project can not save to a secure Access database because
Project, using ODBC, can not supply proper user account information.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
