- Microsoft Windows CE for the Palm-size PC, Versions 2.0
This article was previously published under Q190569 SYMPTOMS
When you use the on-screen keyboard to enter text on a Palm-size PC (P/PC),
the Word Completion feature may suggest a combination of previously entered
acronyms, abbreviations, or misspellings as completed words.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you do not tap ENTER on the on-screen keyboard
after you enter text that the Word Completion feature does not recognize.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, prevent the Word Completion feature from learning
unwanted text combinations. To do this, tap ENTER on the on-screen keyboard
after you enter a text combination for which the Word Completion feature
has no suggested words.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Windows CE
version 2.0 for the Palm-size PC.
