SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize an appointment from a desktop computer to a Handheld PC (H/PC) or Palm-size PC (P/PC), appointments may be scheduled 24 hours earlier or later than you originally scheduled them.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if your H/PC or P/PC is configured to use a home city in a different time zone than the time zone you use for your desktop computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. On the H/PC or P/PC, double-tap Calendar, and then tap the appointment you want to change.
  2. On the Edit menu, tap Edit Item.
  3. Tap the Starts and Ends boxes to set the correct date and time for the appointment.
  4. Tap one of the following Item Occurence settings:

    • This Item Occurs Once.
    • This Item Repeats Every <Weekday>.
    • "This item repeats on day <date> of every month."
    • "This item repeats every <Month> <date>."
  5. Tap OK, and then close Calendar.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
