Microsoft Mail Account Password Not Retained After Upgrade (190308)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade from Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11 to either Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98, your Microsoft Mail password is lost.

RESOLUTION

After you complete the upgrade, start Microsoft Mail and type your password. Click to select the option to save your password, and click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
