XL97: Cannot Open File After Pasting More Than 2000 Characters (190248)

You may receive the following error message when you try to open a file in
Microsoft Excel 97:
EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module EXCEL.EXE at 015f:300e935b.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
- You copy and paste the contents of a cell from one instance of Excel to
a second instance of Excel.
-and-
- You perform the paste operation multiple times.
-and-
- The cell that you copied contains more than 2000 characters.
-and-
- You make an entry in another cell on the worksheet.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 97 for
Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 97 Service Release
2 (SR-2).
