IBM ThinkPad 770 Does Not Suspend While in Docking Bay (190089)

SYMPTOMS

When your IBM ThinkPad 770 computer with an IBM 20H2999 PCI-to-PCI docking bridge has been in its docking station for a sufficient amount of time to go to Suspend mode, it does not go to Suspend mode.

RESOLUTION

This problem is resolved by the following updated file for Windows 98:
   Pci.vxd  version 4.10.2016  dated 06/26/98 09:13am  65,895 bytes
				

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98. An update to address this problem is now available, but is not fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft does not recommend implementing this update at this time. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for additional information about the availability of this update.
