If you assign a shortcut key combination to a macro in Word and you then
add the macro to a menu or toolbar, the shortcut key assignment will not
appear on the menu or toolbar.
WORKAROUND
When you create a custom macro with an assigned shortcut key, follow these
steps to place the macro and its shortcut key assignment on a menu or
toolbar:
- On the Tools menu, click Customize. Click the Commands tab, and under
Categories, select Macros.
- Under Commands, find your macro and drag it to a menu or toolbar.
- Click Modify Selection, click in the Name box, and then change the name
of the macro, if necessary. Following the name of the macro, type in
the shortcut key assignment.
- Click Close on the Customize dialog box.
