MS-DOS Window Opens During Startup After Upgrading to Windows 98 (188961)

After you upgrade to Windows 98, an MS-DOS window may open every time
you start Windows 98. When this occurs, the MS-DOS window contains the
following error message:
Specified command search directory bad
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if Cheyenne ARCSolo 1.0 is installed and is
attempting to run a program at startup.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, disable ARCSolo Recovery. To do so, follow
these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar And Start Menu.
- Click the Start Menu Programs tab, and then click Remove.
- Double-click Startup, ARCSolo Recovery, and then click remove.
- Click Close, click OK, and then restart your computer.
