PPT98: Screen Unblanks Before Changing Slide (188841)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q188841 SYMPTOMS
While you view a Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Show, you can press the B or W
keys on your keyboard to turn the screen entirely black or entirely white.
If you do this and then switch to any other slide, the screen unblanks
before PowerPoint switches slides. This means that if you are on slide
three, press B, and then type 5 to switch to slide five, you briefly see
slide three before you go to slide five.
CAUSE
Slide blanking (and unblanking) is an independent action from slide
changing. When you switch to another slide while the screen is blanked,
PowerPoint restores the screen first and then switches slides.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
