FP98: FrontPage Editor Adds Paragraph Tags Inside DIV Tags (188814)

If you add a <DIV> tag in HTML view in FrontPage Editor, FrontPage will add
paragraph (<P>) tags around any text inside the <DIV> tag.
CAUSE
When FrontPage parses the HTML, it adds paragraph tags to any text entered HTML view.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, enter the <DIV> tags and associated text using the HTML Markup
component. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Insert menu, click FrontPage Component.
- From the Select A Component list, click Insert HTML and then click OK.
- In the HTML Markup dialog box, type the information you want, including
the <DIV> tags, and then click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of
this article.
