You may experience any of the following issues when you use Pocket Word:

  • You cannot open Pocket Word 2.0 files that contain Pocket Word 1.0 graphics.
  • Pocket Word does not recognize Microsoft Word clip art.
  • When you convert a Pocket Word (.pwd) file to a Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) file, numbered or bulleted lists may not be converted properly.
  • When you use a numbered list in Pocket Word, 255 is the largest number you can use.
  • You may need to convert your Word documents to Rich Text Format (.rtf) before you convert them to Pocket Word (.pwd) format.
  • Pocket Word recognizes only TrueType (.ttf) fonts.
  • You may be unable to convert fonts used in Microsoft Word 95 documents to similar fonts in Pocket Word documents.
  • Microsoft does not recommend using extended characters in passwords in Pocket Word documents.
  • Word documents lose password protection when you convert them to Pocket Word documents.
  • Pocket Word documents lose password protection when you convert them to Word documents.
  • Microsoft does not recommend pasting a password into a Pocket Word document.
  • Some Word formatting features, such as Float Over Text, do not work in Pocket Word.
  • When you convert Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) files on the desktop computer to Pocket Word (.pwd) files, the Pocket Word files may not be displayed properly.
  • Some of the file conversion filters that Windows CE uses are included in Microsoft Office setup. You may receive error messages if these filters are not installed.
