PPT98: Portrait Presentation Is Exported to HTML as Landscape (188735)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q188735 SYMPTOMS
If you export a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to the Web, using the
PowerPoint Save As HTML wizard and your presentation slides are in portrait
layout, the resulting HyperText Markup Language (HTML) file contains
landscape slide images.
CAUSE
This is a limitation of the PowerPoint Save As HTML wizard. Because
PowerPoint slides are designed for landscape orientation, the wizard
outputs all HTML pages to display the slide images in landscape
orientation.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article.
