PPT98: Full Screen Show Doesn't Return to Browsed Show Correctly (188609)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition

This article was previously published under Q188609

SYMPTOMS

If you view a Slide Show that is configured to be browsed by an individual in a window and then switch to a full-screen show, it does not quit correctly. If you press ESC or click End Show on the Slide Show menu, the Slide Show does not end. Instead, it switches back to being a browsed show. You have to end the Slide Show again to quit it correctly.

CAUSE

When you run a browsed slide show and then switch to a full-screen show, PowerPoint starts a second copy of that Slide Show.

WORKAROUND

Once you have created these two instances of the Slide Show, you have to end each instance separately.

MORE INFORMATION

Viewing a Browsed Slide Show

  3. Click OK.
  4. On the Slide Show menu, click View Show or click the Slide Show button at the bottom of the screen.
Instead of filling the whole screen, the Slide Show plays in a big window.
