PPT98: Play Settings Disabled if Multiple OLE Objects Selected (188475)

SYMPTOMS

When you select multiple OLE objects in the Animation Order box in the Custom Animation dialog box, all of the options on the Play Settings tab become unavailable (dimmed). In contrast, you can select multiple objects and then apply the settings on the Timing tab.

CAUSE

PowerPoint does not allow you to modify settings for multiple OLE objects. You can only modify the settings for one object at a time.

RESOLUTION

Select one object at a time and then select the options you want from the Play Settings tab.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
