PPT98: Cropped PowerPoint Slide Shrinks When Edited (188469)

If you paste a PowerPoint 98 slide into a Word 98 document, the text in the
slide is stretched or truncated when you crop the slide object and then
double-click the slide object to edit it.
This symptom is most noticeable if you crop the PowerPoint slide object
so that it is a very different shape. The closer the cropped shape is to
the shape of the original slide, the less noticeable this symptom is.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, you can crop the slide object in Word 98 after you
have made all of your changes to the slide object.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
PowerPoint 98 does not function as an OLE automation server.
