The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q188462 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft PowerPoint, if you type the number for a slide that does not
exist in the From or To boxes in the Set Up Show dialog box and then
click OK, the Set Up Show dialog box will not close. Instead, the invalid
slide number will change to a valid number. This occurs even if you
click to select the All option before you click OK.
For example, if you have a 20-slide presentation and click Set Up Show
on the Slide Show menu, type the number 30 in the To box, click All,
and then click OK, the number 30 changes to 20 and the Set Up Show
dialog box will not close.
RESOLUTION
To exit the Set Up Show dialog box, use either of the following methods:
- Click to select the All option again and then click OK.
-or-
- Click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
