SYMPTOMS
When you try to run Disk Defragmenter from System Agent or Windows Task
Scheduler, you may receive a general-protection (GP) fault in module
User.exe.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the task information for Disk Defragmenter has
become damaged.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, delete the Disk Defragmenter task from System Agent
or Task Scheduler and then create a new task. For information about how to
do so, in Windows 98, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type
task scheduler, and then double-click the
Adding Tasks topic. In Windows 95, click Start, click Help, click the
Index tab, type system agent, and then
double-click the Scheduling Programs topic.
