Unexpected Results After Removing Novell Client32 Network Client (188144)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to remove Novell's 32-bit network client (Client32) from Windows 95/98, you may experience unexpected results.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you remove Client32 using the Network tool in Control Panel.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use the Unc32.exe tool to properly remove Client32. To determine if the Unc32.exe tool is already installed on your computer, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or folders.
  2. In the Named box, type unc32.exe, and then click C: in the Look in box.
  3. Click Find Now.
If the Unc32.exe tool is not installed on your computer, obtain it from Novell Technical Support or download it from Novell's Web site.
