This article was previously published under Q188110 SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade to Windows 98, you may notice that your Sanyo 3 CD
multi-disk CD-ROM drive now has 3 drive letters assigned to it. This
behavior may occur even though the Smart CD Manager program previously
assigned only 1 drive letter to this drive.
CAUSE
This issue can occur because Windows 98 replaces the Cdvsd.vxd and
Torisan3.vxd files included with the Smart CD Manager program. The updated
versions of these files are not compatible with the Smart CD Manager
program.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, reinstall the Smart CD Manager program.
