Clicking View Files in Disk Cleanup Tool Does Not Display Files (188099)

When you click Downloaded Program Files in the Disk Cleanup tool and then
click View Files, nothing may happen.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you are configuring the Disk Cleanup portion of
the Maintenance Wizard tool.
RESOLUTION
To view files in the Windows\Downloaded Program Files folder using Disk
Cleanup, use either of the following methods:
Method 1- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System
Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.
- In the Drives box, click the hard disk on which the Downloaded Program
Files folder is located, and then click OK.
- On the Disk Cleanup tab, click Downloaded Program Files, and then click
View Files.
Method 2- In Windows Explorer or My Computer, right click the hard disk on which
the Downloaded Program Files folder is located, and then click
Properties.
- Click Disk Cleanup.
- On the Disk Cleanup tab, click Downloaded Program Files, and then click
View Files.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.
MORE INFORMATION
If you configure Disk Cleanup using Maintenance Wizard and you click
Temporary Internet Files or Recycle Bin and then click View Files, the
files in the folders are displayed properly.
