VerifiyDigitalSig Fails When Pipeline Is Created Using Server (188038)

SYMPTOMS

VerifyDigitalSig fails with a trappable error if it is called from an MTS or MtsTX pipeline that was created with "Server.CreateObject." If the same pipeline was created with "CreateObject" (no server), the component runs without error.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0.
