Active Desktop Wallpaper Not Applied When You Install Plus! 98 (187968)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Plus! 98, you are prompted to select a desktop theme. If you select an Active Desktop theme, Plus! 98 may apply a solid color to the desktop instead of the theme's Active Desktop wallpaper.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you do not enable Active Desktop before you install Plus! 98.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Finish installing Plus! 98.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Desktop Themes.
  4. In the Theme box, click the Active Desktop theme you want to use, and then click OK.
  5. Close Control Panel.

MORE INFORMATION

When the Plus! 98 installation program is running, Plus! 98 cannot enable Active Desktop when you select an Active Desktop theme.
