This article was previously published under Q187931 SYMPTOMS
When you are using comic characters and you enter a chat room, your comic
chat character may be displayed incorrectly to other members.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you enter a moderated chat room.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Chat 2.5 for
Windows 95, and Windows NT 4.0.
MORE INFORMATION
In Microsoft Chat, comic character format information is transmitted by
text messages that are intercepted by client programs. If a chat room is
moderated these text messages cannot be sent and instead a random comic
character is displayed on the other members computers.
