Complete Gardening: Wheel Scrambles Text in Glossary Window (187930)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the wheel on the Microsoft IntelliMouse or the Microsoft IntelliMouse Trackball to scroll the contents of a glossary definition window in Microsoft Complete Gardening, the program may not properly refresh the text in the window.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:

  • The display properties on the computer are configured to use large fonts.
  • The glossary definition window is too small to display all of the text.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, refresh the text display. To do so, drag the glossary definition window off the screen and then back onto the screen.

To resolve this issue, change the display properties to use small fonts. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the Font Size box, click Small Fonts, and then click OK.
  5. If you are prompted to insert the installation disk or CD-ROM for Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT, do so, and then click OK.
  6. When you are prompted to restart the computer, do so.
