To install the Microsoft Project HTML
Conversion program, download and run Projhtml.exe. The Setup program will
install the necessary software on your computer and create a program icon to
run the program. The default installation location is "C:\Program
Files\Projhtml" under Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. You can change this
location during the Setup process.
Setup will create a program icon
in the following places depending on your operating system:
- Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0: Under Programs on the Start
menu.
- Windows NT 3.5x: A PROJHTML group will be
created.

Previewing
The converter attempts to preview the Web page in your default
Web browser. If it has problems starting the browser, then locate and open the
Projtemp.htm file from the directory where the converter is installed.
Usage
The converter uses the list of tasks showing in the current view
in Microsoft Project. Make sure the current view is a task-based view or an
error message will warn you to change the view. You can use the filtering and
sorting features of Microsoft Project to limit the number of tasks the
converter can use.
If you have previewed a file, and then change any
items in the
Options dialog box, you must preview the file again before clicking Save
HTML. If you do not Preview after making the changes, the resulting saved HTML
file will not have the options you selected.
Date Formats
The Microsoft Project HTML Converter maintains the date format
selected in Microsoft Project. There are two date formats that cannot be
translated correctly using this program. A Date Format choice of "W05/1/94
12:33PM" produces dates in the "Mon 1/31/94 12:33PM" format. A Date Format
choice of "W05/1" produces dates in the "Mon 1/31/94" format.
Windows NT 3.51
The converter may have problems previewing multiple times if you
are running Windows NT 3.51 and Service Pack 4 (SP-4) is not installed. The
error message from the program states that "Team Manager must be running", even
if the program is currently running.
When previewing your page in
Microsoft Internet Explorer, changes may not be reflected in the browser. Click
the Refresh button on the Internet Explorer toolbar, or press F5 to make
Internet Explorer refresh the page contents.
